Our Policies

Ringway/Eurovia operate within a web-based management system, known as The Way We Work, that provides structure, direction, consistency and risk-based assurance of key processes across the Group.

The Way We Work is fully integrated; vertically, from parent company, through to business unit, and horizontally, by discipline and operational control.

Ringway/Eurovia validate the effectiveness of The Way We Work, and the key processes within, by maintaining certification against the following standards and assessment schemes:

  • BS EN ISO 9001 for quality management systems;
  • BS EN 14001 for environmental management systems, and;
  • BS OHSAS 18001 for occupational health and safety management systems.

Additionally, The Way We Work assures compliance against many of the National Highways Sector Schemes for Quality Management in Highway Works, as below:

  • Scheme 7 for the application of road marking material and road studs to road surfaces;
  • Scheme 8  for the installation and maintenance of highway electrical works;
  • Scheme 9a for the manufacture of permanent and/or temporary road traffic signs;
  • Scheme 12a & 12b for static temporary traffic management on motorways and high speed dual carriageways, including on-line widening schemes;
  • Scheme 13a for the supply and application of surface dressing to road surfaces;
  • Scheme 13b for the supply and application of micro surfacing;
  • Scheme 14 for the quality management of the production of asphalt mixes;
  • Scheme 16 for the laying of asphalt mixes.

Independence and rigour of certification against the standards is maintained by using a UKAS accredited certification body.

The Way We Work drives continual improvement by incorporating the European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model, which is applied across the whole of Ringway/Eurovia, with each division subject to an annual assessment of performance against the model. Assessment is provided by Ringway/Eurovia’s own team of professionally trained and experienced interviewers who identify strengths and areas for improvement in leadership, policy and strategy, partnerships and resources, processes, customer results, people results, society results and key performance results.
