Ringway blooms in Bracknell

Back in 2004, we were successful in winning a five year contract in Bracknell Forest to carry out their Street Care Term Contract.  The contract included all aspects of highway maintenance from carriageway and footway patching and reconstruction, to drainage works, gully emptying, emergency works, winter service, maintenance, of lines and signs and structures. It also included the street cleansing service, which at the time, was a new discipline for Ringway.  The highway network covered by the contract comprises some 456km of roads, 700km of footpaths and cycleways, numerous  subways, bridges, culverts  and pedestrian ramps, 17 town and local shopping centres and over 700 litter bins.

The quality of service delivered on this comprehensive contract, coupled with its successful management, resulted in a five year contract extension being awarded, which will take our relationship with Bracknell Forest through to September 2014.  During this time we have worked closely with our colleagues at Bracknell Forest and refined the Contract through the introduction of several Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that have proved beneficial to both parties and local residents.

Gully Cleansing

For instance, the gully cleansing regime was originally sub contracted to a local contractor preferred by the Council.  For the first three years, the cyclic cleansing of the borough’s gullies was successfully carried out.
