Last month, local Ringway employee Gary Bodenham, a supervisor on structures, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Cancer Research. Cancer Research is a charity very close to Gary’s heart as his partner has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Gary started his travels on October 9th and took into total 6 days to complete his challenge.
Gary travelled with a group of nine friends including colleague Sam Radbourne, a Ringway Graduate based at Horsham head office.
“This was a tough challenge, but a challenge that was in aid of such a fantastic cause. There were times when I thought I couldn’t carry on, but with the support of my friends, family and partner I knew I had to finish!”
Said Gary Bodenham
By successfully completing the climb Gary raised £2,300.00 for Cancer Research. Cancer Research is the largest single funder of breast cancer research in the UK. The charity is making fantastic progress, the money raised by Gary will help towards research in to life-saving work.
