Euromark’s bespoke road marking and road stud package, ‘Solutions’, was a big hit with visitors this year at Seeing is Believing.
Taking its expertise and skill-sets developed as market leaders in road marking and thermoplastic manufacturing for 25 years, Euromark has created the ideal answer for road-marking throughout the UK - ‘Solutions’. Launched at Seeing is Believing 2010, ‘Solutions’ allows clients to enhance their road network by utilising Euromark’s in-house capabilities to survey, design, manufacture and apply road markings.
With ‘Solutions’ everything is taken care of. The package complements street lighting dimming schemes, accident reduction projects and improved wet, night time visibility, which is ideal for the upcoming winter season.
Dan Bush, Divisional Manager of Euromark, explains how they go the extra mile to tailor make ‘Solutions’ for different client needs. “Euromark invites the client to visit our manufacturing plant to witness the road marking manufacturing process and to give them the knowledge of what can be achieved from road markings, for example, higher night time visibility and wet night visibility. These road markings can be a bespoke design mix to give the performance that each client wants to achieve.”
Wet night time visibility is a major safety issue for the road user and with health and safety high on the agenda with highways agents and councils, Euromark has developed the Wetlite range of products for improved wet night visibility. The Wetlite Multi drop, which proved popular at the show, is a structured line in the format of a teardrop shape and arranged in a pattern so that it appears to the motorist as a solid white line. This particular format gives good water drainage around the marking, therefore allowing the headlights of a vehicle to reflect light back from the road marking to the driver.
Euromark’s extensive range of thermoplastic products that featured at Seeing is Believing are all suitable for application using several methods: Screed, Spray, Extrusion and Ribline. These are hot applied, hard wearing materials and are all suitable for heavily trafficked roads. Major benefits of thermoplastic products include rapid setting times in low ambient temperatures therefore causing less traffic disruption.
