Jasmine invited our clients Transport for London and Surrey County Council to create a collaborative safety tour to share best practice and celebrate the great women within the industry. A group of 30 ladies attended the day which covered an Equality vs Equity session, a safety tour on a TfL Commissioned Cycleway Scheme, and an open discussion on careers.

The TfL commissioned Cycleway 50 scheme aims to introduce cycleway improvements within the London Borough of Islington. The project is split into 9 phases and is managed by Eurovia's Project Manager Alexa Hughes, in her team is Graduate Civil Engineer, Virtue Igbokwuwe, and these female leads guided the group around phase 1 and phase 5 of the project. "It was a privilege to show this diverse group of women around our site and I gained some new perspectives from the discussion sessions." - Alexa Hughes

"What a great day out with females from both TfL and external contractors having a safety tour at the Cycleway 50 cycling project in Islington. Very inspirational and a pleasure to see all generations coming together to celebrate women in the industry, exchange experiences and support each other. Thanks, Jasmine O'Hanlon, for organising it again. It gets better and better each time. Congratulations." - Beatriz Garcia-Granados - Senior Project and Programme Delivery Coordination Manager – TfL.

"So pleased and proud to attend this event with TFL, Ringway and Eurovia for IWD. What an incredible and promising group of women proving that construction is for everyone! Well organised, great knowledge and so brilliant to hear everyone's story of how they how they got to where they are. Loved the sharing of experiences around equality and equity. Can't wait for the next one!" - Jane Young – Highway Engineering Team Manager – Surrey County Council
